Me: So, what does one give at the wedding?
Her: Money, usually.
Me: The bride gets 2 gifts?
Her: The gifts are for the home and the money is paying for your plate at the wedding.
Me: And where are the men during the bridal shower?
Her: They don't go.
Me: So what do the men have?
Her: A bachelor party!
Me: The women get a bridal shower and the bachelorette party, while the men just have a bachelor party? What do you two do together?
Her: Nothing. You have to do some things seperate.
Me: Wow. I didn't do any of that. We just had the wedding. We wanted to do everything together.
Her: You're supposed to do things seperate, you know, things you don't normally do.
Me: We did that. We had a 2-month honeymoon.
Her: That's not unusual.
Me: It was for us. Besides, our wedding was so much fun we're doing our Reenactment again on Memorial Day.
Her: (laughing) Why would you do it again? I wouldn't want to relive that!
Me: It's a bit wierd, I think, to put so much time and effort into just one day that you can't have again. That's why every year we're redoing it to reaffirm our love for each other. This year there will be cupcakes!
Her: (laughing again)
So...yeah...don't really get people and their money usage...
