Cherry Mistmas 2010

Today I spent wandering around midtown from 42nd to Columbus Circus and back people watching. Watching the tourists look for something indoors to do & realizing that the majority of open places were drug stores, restaurants, and delis. There are only so many times one can eat. It's really eerie to see all these people wandering the streets, taking photos, and peeping into shuttered buildings. Stores like Macy's, Toys 'r' Us, and the Disney Store closed for the day, yet still having their internal lights on, almost beckoning for shoppers in the ghostly silence.
At work, we had a party for all show employees. Now, my uncle calls this show 'Divas' and this dinner showed an excellent example of it: the crew was setting up the tables and the food. A number of the items were set up and ready, but not all, and one of the divas went up, got a plate, and proceeded to fill it with different food items. She then said, to no one in particular, 'Well, I have all that I want from this!' She then walked towards the backstage/green room area telling everyone else, 'The food's ready.' It wasn't until the house property woman confirmed it that we all lined up, got nice food, and socialized together, as a group... well, except for the diva that had walked away.
