Women on the Verge of the Belasco Theatre

Finally, finally, finally got to work at the Belasco. The theatre is a 1920 dream come true. A bit darker in the orchestra, but still wonderful panelling and murals and the bathrooms are very nice as well.

The show...well...what can I say about the show? Firstly, I have no idea what's going on. The characters are are two-dimensional, but much of the acting is quite tremendous, considering the material. There are a lot of technical things to work on, but even so, it may become better over time. The most interesting effect is the one where a bed is burned on stage, using real fire!!! It's bloody magnificent and unexpected, and will be probably be the draw for audiences, over all the celebs in the show, of course.

Was really happy to work orchestra last night and see who comes out for first previews. David Pittu' was there, and he remembered me!!! Much squeeing. All in all, quite content and hopeful to stay.
