Alabama: The Adventure

So the group of photos just upload on FB are from Alabama Adventure, the amusement park outside of Birmingham, AL. The ride part, while on the website claimed 20 rides, only about half of those were NOT for little kids. We went on the 2 adult roller coasters and a couple spinny rides as well. The water section of the park, though, although small, was a bit more fun. We went on the 2 tube rides, as well as the wave pool and went around their Lazy River 3 times. It wasn't the best water park we've ever been to, but it was good way to spend the early afternoon. On the amusement park fun scale, we give it a 5 out of 10.

That wasn't the adventure. The adventure was getting back to the hotel. We had a Yellow Cab drop us off at the park, but the company wouldn't send one to pick us back up. First, when I called, the dispatcher claimed to not know the address of the park, even when I told her what it said on my park receipt, she said the address didn't exist. Anyway, after 35 minutes of waiting for a cab the dispatcher said she would send, I called back and explained that it was starting to rain and there was a thunder and lighting storm coming. She claimed that she had no cabs in the area and that the company was very busy. We waited another 20 minutes and then we decided to take action! We walked back to the hotel! All 2 miles of it. In over 100 degree weather. We stopped about 3/4 of the way there at an RV store to get some Gatorade, and then finished the walk back.
Needless to say, we called the Ambassador Cab company to take us to the bus station tomorrow. :)
